Starting Friday, June 6th, our first events are hands-on workshops that invite you to help build Cleveland’s new lakefront public space. CLICK HERE to check out the many volunteer opportunities to help build, paint, assemble, and create this unique space together.

June 13th kicks off our season of recurring weekly evening roller skating events presented by Rollin’ Buckeyez. From 5-9pm, this event brings Cleveland roller skating culture to the waterfront with a DJ, food trucks operated by Soul Republic Hospitality and the lakefront pop-up bar.

After a week of volunteer activities, we’ll celebrate what we built with our first 2nd Saturday celebration on June 14th – join us 4-8pm to enjoy live programming, and experience the Yard in action. RSVP on Eventbrite here!

Every Monday evening starting June 16, the local non-profit Ohio City Soccer Club will host free, drop-in pick-up street soccer (futsal) for players ages 16+ on the North Coast Yard community blacktop starting at 6:00pm. To participate, simply show up at 6:00pm with your own gear, water, and energy to play! If you have any questions, please email play@thecityofohio.org.

Basketball courts are open for free community use during the week day. And, our Wednesday basketball league offers a new chance for friendly organized competition once a week. Registration link coming soon.

Every Thursday from 5-7pm, Rock Hall will be ‘taking over’ North Coast Yard during happy hour to provide music by staff DJs and participants in the Rock Hall Artist in Residency program. Thursdays also feature on-site food trucks operated by Soul Republic Hospitality and the lakefront pop-up bar, both operating 5pm – 9pm.

This recurring weekly evening event presented by Rollin’ Buckeyez will bring Cleveland roller skating culture to the waterfront with a DJ-every Friday starting Friday, June 13th from 5pm – 9pm. Fridays also feature on-site food trucks operated by Soul Republic Hospitality and the lakefront pop-up bar, both operating 5pm – 9pm.

Join us any weekend day to enjoy lakefront views at North Coast Yard. Like a public park, the space is open dawn to dusk for passive use, strolling, sitting, gathering, and playing. Every weekend we’ll also roll out an interactive kit of games, wheels, and creative activities (thanks to our partners at Recess Cleveland) to invite kids of all ages to play by the lake. No registration is required. Free and open to all.

On the weekends, you’ll also find on-site food trucks operated by Soul Republic Hospitality open Saturday and Sunday from 11am – 9pm. Weekend hours for the lakefront bar are Saturday from 3pm – 9pm (no Sunday bar hours at this time).

Second Saturdays are a series of free monthly all-ages events inviting Clevelanders to shape the space together—through art, play, conversation, and movement. With rotating monthly themes drawn from the site’s future vision, these events offer a chance to test ideas, share stories, and leave your mark. Programming ramps up throughout the day with the most activity occurring between 4-8pm. Save the date:

• July 12th: Health + Wellness + Movement- Get moving with a day of wellness workshops, group workouts, and activities that bring the community together in motion.
• August 9th: Water + Nature- Join us for interactive experiences and water-based activities that invite all ages to play, explore, and enjoy Cleveland’s greatest natural asset.

North Coast Yard’s largest event of the season will be a 4th of July Watch Party, where attendees can grab food from local vendors, sip on festive drinks, and soak in the summer vibes before watching the city’s spectacular fireworks display light up the sky over Lake Erie. Everyone is invited to bring friends, family, and some chairs for a front-row seat to the show—no better place to celebrate than Cleveland’s lakefront backyard! Details and RSVP link coming soon.
